April 13, 2005, ELIZABETH, NJ-In a effort to revolutionize Steadicam filming, EIAV Machines, LLC, which is not affiliated with Segway, LLC, will launch the Segway "ADAPT-ALL™" Pat. Pend. adapter which is a combination of the Segway Human Transporter and a Steadicam type attachment. Presently, Steadicams are mounted on a dolly or worn on a harness during production. The Segway "ADAPT-ALL™" adapter breaks from the traditional norm of operation by allowing for fluid camera motion at various speeds and 360° rotations.
The Segway "ADAPT-ALL™" adapter could replace traditional track and dolly thus lowering production costs. Featuring a Basson arm and proprietary custom wheel mount, the complete system features a camera package, Steadicam type vest, video monitor, control arm, audio system and servo-balancing circuits.
